POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Prevention Services leads the overall strategy, development, and implementation of prevention programs aimed at empowering communities through education and outreach. This role oversees the dissemination of critical information, working with the marketing team to ensure that prevention services reach schools, agencies, and professionals. As the public face of the program, the director builds and maintains strong relationships with community partners, representing the organization in various professional forums.
In addition to managing external outreach, the Director of Prevention Services facilitates training and technical assistance to meet current and future needs, ensuring quality service delivery. With a focus on both programmatic and financial oversight, the director manages budgets and collaborates with the development team to promote the organization’s training services. This leadership role is key to creating impactful prevention efforts and nurturing a positive, supportive environment for both staff and the community.

POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Advanced degree in education, counseling or related human service field and a minimum of three years’ experience of successful administrative experience or a bachelor’s degree in education or social services and a minimum of five years of successful administrative experience
Experience: Experience as a trainer preferred
Skills: Leadership and team management, community outreach and relationship building, strategic communication, program development and evaluation, budget management, knowledgeable in coordinating and delivering training services, problem-solving and decision-making, adaptability and forward-thinking, and collaboration and teamwork.
Certifications & Licenses: Certified Prevention Specialist preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
A. Ability to Stand, Walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward and above shoulders, speak, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend daily
B. Capability to push or pull up to 50 lbs and lift or carry up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis
